A safe place to heal and rebuild.
The Arada Foundation launched Arada House in Sydney in partnership with Women’s Community Shelters, creating a dedicated safe haven for women and children escaping domestic and family violence. The Foundation purchased a unit block in Campsie to provide immediate safety, crisis support and pathways towards independence.
Arada House will provide 20 safe beds each night, equivalent to 7,300 safe bed nights a year, helping address the urgent need for stable accommodation in a community where domestic and family violence and homelessness remain significant challenges. Residents will have access to six months of transitional housing, counselling, legal assistance, financial guidance and education, training and employment pathways.
The initiative reflects the Foundation’s belief that safety is the foundation for recovery. By combining secure accommodation with practical support, Arada House is designed to help women and children regain confidence, rebuild their lives and move towards long-term independence.
