Fresh food, grown locally, shared with families.
The Arada Foundation launched a Ramadan initiative with the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment to distribute 4,000 boxes of fresh produce from Emirati farms to families across the UAE.
Managed by Manbat, the farmer’s market at Aljada, the programme ran over 20 days during the Holy Month. Volunteers, including Arada staff, helped pick and pack fruit, vegetables, herbs, honey and dates from inspected farms, producing 200 boxes each day for delivery through Sharjah Cooperative Society and Sharjah Charity International.
The initiative supported families during Ramadan while also promoting local agriculture, food security and stronger community connections between farms, volunteers and households.
